How do I open locked chests in Dragon Age of Origines?

I have been playing Dragons Age Origins for 4 hours now and I am sort of new to these games. A lot of the chests are locked that I can't open. How do I open them? I feel like i am missing out on a lot of good items I could use. I am a WarriorHow do I open locked chests in Dragon Age of Origines?
You have to have the stealing attribute learned. If your a rogue however you should be able to open some otherwise you can't until you learn how. I've almost beaten the game and I just use Leliana to open them seeing how she almost is a master locksmith, only down side is I have to keep her in my party if I want to loot chests. You need a rogue (like the Leliana character you can pick up early on in Lothering).



You can then focus on boosting her cunning, and also bump up the skill chain (when leveling up) that ends with Device Mastery.



Most (but not all) areas you can return to later, too. And many you'll be returning to anyway if pursuing some of the side quests you turn up here and there.How do I open locked chests in Dragon Age of Origines?
you need to have a Rogue a very high leveled experienced Rogue to open locks, doors,cages, etc.



don't forget to download the blood dragon armor, and the Golem=)
You need a rogue in your party. Select them, and then select the chest.
