Is the combat in the console version of dragon age origins challenging?

I've read from critics and player reviews that it's not as difficult as the pc version, but is it still challenging to play on the console?Is the combat in the console version of dragon age origins challenging?

i think the combat is challenging in dragon age origins.you can go into the tactics menu for each of the characters that are with you and set them up any way you like or you can use the defaults which are usually pretty good.it took me a little bit to figure out what was going on,but maybe if i had read the manual that came with the game instead of just jumping in it wouldn't have been that way.hope this helps.have fun gaming.
